SENIOR CITIZENS' CLUB

At YMCA KL, we’re committed to enhancing the lives of our senior members. The Senior Citizens’ Club, established in 1984, has evolved from a small group of seven visionary men to one of the most dynamic and successful clubs for seniors in the Klang Valley. We cater to members aged 55 and above, offering a vibrant community and a range of activities designed to promote health, happiness, and camaraderie.

Club Fee:
• RM 120.00 for first timer
• RM 80.00 for subsequent renewal

How To Join The Club
Be part of the Senior Citizens’ Club—open to all YMCA Members aged 55 and above. Membership includes a one-time entrance fee of RM20.00 and a yearly subscription fee of RM20.00. Membership is valid until December 31 each year.

  1. Meeting Times: Wednesdays and Saturdays, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
  2. Location: Dewan Lee Kong Chian


Activities Include:

  1. Fan Dance
  2. Tai Chi Aerobics
  3. Line Dance
  4. Social Dance
  5. Hula Hula Dance
  6. Ballroom Dance
  7. Dance Exercise Class
  8. Singing Group
  9. Harmonica Group (Beginners welcome)
  10. Special Events: Birthday Celebrations, Chinese New Year Party, Mid-Autumn Festival Party, Christmas Party
  11. Lifelong Skills Workshops: Sushi Making, Community Programmes, and more


Basic Rules & Regulations

  1. Renewal: Please renew your membership by the last day of February each year. Late renewals require re-application.
  2. Membership Card: Carry your SCC Membership Card during gatherings. Failure to present it will result in a RM5.00 Guest Fee.
  3. Guest Policy: Non-members cannot join activities. Guests can attend for a RM5.00 fee if registered accordingly.

Harmonica Tremolo Beginner

This course is an extension of the YMCA KL Senior Citizens’ Club and open to all YMCA KL Members.

Harmonica Music:  Harmonica Chromatic Beginner to Advance Course Beginner Course

This course is an extension of the YMCA KL Senior Citizens’ Club and open to all YMCA KL Members.

RATES:
• RM250.00 (For Senior Citizens’ Club Members Only)
• RM300.00 (For YMCA KL Members Only)

Course Outline:

  1. Understanding Structure & Scale of Tremolo Harmonicas
  2. Mouth Shape Exercises for Monotone Playing
  3. Simple Harmonica Exercises of 3, 5, 6, and 7 Notes
  4. Scales
  5. Middle Octave


Harmonica Course Details:
You will need a ‘C’ Key Harmonica. New students without a harmonica may buy a harmonica from the Instructor at the start of the course.
