This group became our first-ever volunteer team, and today, community outreach remains a key part of YMCA KL’s mission. Since 1984, YMCA KL’s Senior Citizens’ Club (SCC) has been helping retirees stay active, healthy, and engaged through fun activities like exercise, music, dancing, health talks, and more. As Malaysia’s population continues to age, the demand for elderly services and facilities is growing. Now more than ever, we need to come together to advocate for better accessibility, transport, and care for the elderly.

GATN, introduced by the Asia and Pacific Alliance of YMCAs, focuses on Alternative Tourism—a responsible and sustainable way to travel that’s all about giving back. Unlike mass tourism, GATN is guided by the “CHANGE” principles:
